Sensei Lynn Rex Myers - Associate Master - Kenpo
White Tiger of Cache Valley was founded by Lynn Myers in 1989. He currently holds an 8th Degree Black Belt in American Kenpo, a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and a Red Belt (Master's Belt) in Chiryoku Rikiji Karate and has been training and teaching for 45 years, as of July 20th. He is the main instructor at White Tiger Kenpo Karate.

Karate means "Empty Hands"
Kenpo means "Law of the Fist"
What is a dojo? It is a place of meditation & immersive learning.
Why do we bow? When we bow, we become one, we are teachable.
How many Blocks are in Karate? None! They are all Strikes.
Turning away from your Instructor as you put your Gi top and belt on is a sign of respect.
Centerline Principle. Comes from center and decide to go away, or you could say come to center and decide to go away.
What is a Sensei? A Japanese word. He/She is a teacher, leader, guide, instructor.
What is a Shifu or Sifu? A Chinese word. He/She is a teacher, master, skilled person, tutor, father.
What is a Renshi? A Japanese word. He/She is a polished instructor. Typically a 5th Dan Black Belt.
Why do we train barefoot? Part of it is because it humbles us. Another part is it helps to keep the floors clean.
Why do we wear Gi's? It makes us all equal, the same.
What does the Tiger represent? Physical strength from the early stages of learning. The TIGER is impressed with his/her own physical skills.
What does the Dragon represent? Spiritual strength which comes with time. Mental attitude is placed above physical strength.
Kenpo is an activity for boys, girls, men, and women; people who want to learn self defense and exercise at the same time, develop, higher levels of self confidence, and improved coordination; while learning techniques that really work Kenpo is ideally suited for family participation whether you are husband and wife, brother or sister. come try it out!!
